I know what you did last Reception Weekend...

Hello AIESEC from over the world!!!

So I was asked to write this to you guys, to “convince” you to come to Rio
de Janeiro. Honestly though… RIO DE JANEIRO AKA Cidade Maravilhosa!!! Does it
need anymore saying than that?
But ok, I will do my part and if any of the following things like:
Enjoying a caipirinha on the beautiful beach of Copacabana, dancing the samba
till the break of dawn at the samba schools, be graced by Cristo Redentor one
of the wonders of the world, be astonished by the view of Rio de Janeiro at Pao
de Sucre, participate in the street parties in Lapa, get your inside tour of the
biggest favela named Rocinha, does not appeal to you, then you should stay home
and watch a boring movie.
Warning my fellow AIESEC people…. This is not for the faint of hearth!

Maracanã Stadium

The Maracanã Stadium, on the past the biggest stadium in the wold, is the representation of the brazilian football/soccer passion. When it has a classic game, millions of souls are shaked by the emotion of the game. Maracanã is used not only for games but is now a multifunction arena, with shows, social events, even the reception of the Pope. It's one of the prides of cariocas, with or without your "geral".

The sugar loaf is a peak situated in Guanabara Bay.It is a major icon of Rio tourism and has become a trademark of the city. Its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of concentrated refined loaf sugar.A glass-paneled cable car (bondinho),built in 1912, runs along a route between the peaks of Babilônia and Urca. So familiar is this peak, the mere sight of it is sufficient to establish the setting as Rio.
